    Free as in:

    Part with Full name and email, have to spend time reading terms and conditions, have to remember to untick the ‘receive newsletter’ box..

    Thanks, but I don’t believe that to be free. This is free in exchange for signing up for an account…

        I charge very little for my time, hence the fact my time is very precious to me. A free file in exchange for some personal details..I don’t consider a free file.

        Maybe “sign up to the market place and get a free file”, or a “free file to marketplace members, sign up now”…

      Sorry Peter. Most of our readers are already Envato marketplace members – since they’re so massive. It takes about a minute to create a free account.

      You should consider people having no accounts in the marketplace. They’re still readers. Sadly, this will make a negative impression to those people who don’t have the time to register in CC.

        Who don’t have time to take a minute out of their day? With respect, in the heading, we said “Free Marketplace File.” Most of our readers are familiar with the Envato marketplaces and have accounts.

        I don’t get why you are complaining. Are you being forced to download it. I guess maybe you can code one in less time than it takes to create an account. In the mean time my download just got done. thanks for the freebie

        Those are casual “readers”. They come, they read/download/learn something and they gone. Nobody can build a community with this sort of people.

        Second place, nobody is forcing you to register or download anything from anywere. It’s entirely up to you.

      The irony of those complaining about having to sign-up for a free account is that it takes less time to sign-up than it probably did for them to write their complaining comment.

      He’s probably a bit jealous because there are smarter people around. I mean come on people, you can get emails easier than this. And name+email is not personal data, you can get it from any social network :))
