Diving into PHP: Video Series

Today marks the beginning of a brand new series on the ThemeForest blog that will show you EXACTLY how to get started with PHP. Just as with the “jQuery for Absolute Beginners” screencasts, we’ll start from scratch and slowly work our way up to some more advanced topics. If you’ve been hoping to learn this language, be sure to pay a visit and subscribe to the RSS feed to be updated when new videos are posted.

Hi Jeffrey. What software do you use for screen capture? Thanks.

  • http://www.freshclickmedia.com Shane

Your work is appreciated Jeff – thanks very much for posting. Looking forward to seeing the rest of the series!

  • Thomas Merrill

Yet again another great post for Nettuts!

First with the jquery screencast now PHP, I really think that next you should do a CSS/XHTML set. Although pretty easy I notice that the most popular tutorials here seem to be the design and slice ones.

Just a thought! Thanks guys for a great tutorial site!

PHP is amazing. If you are not familiar with it I would recommend watching these tutorials or getting some other introduction. It’s a must in today’s world.

Just a quick FYI – The Day 2 podcast on iTunes is all messed up (at least on my end).

Yeah, I can confirm the itunes version of Day 2 is messed up for me too.

I don’t know why, but the screen distortion reminds me of Yars Revenge!

if you are good with the language basics you can move on to frameworks and the best choice for beginners is codeigniter framework
