Envato 3rd Birthday Bash, Day 1 – iMacs Giveaway!

We’re kicking off three days of celebration at Tuts+ with a confetti-filled bang. Over the next three days we will be giving away two brand spankin’ new 20″ iMacs to two lucky Tuts+ readers. The first iMac will be won by 1 entrant who signs up to Plus before the end of Envato’s 3rd Birthday bash (midnight Friday the 21st of August, Australian Eastern Standard Time). The second iMac will be won by 1 currently subscribed Plus member. The faster you join, the better your chances of winning!

How to Enter

If you are already a Plus member, you can enter straight away. If you’re not yet a Plus member but would like to join and have the chance to win a new iMac, register for Plus, then submit your entry via the link below. Don’t know what Plus is? Find out here.

    I want to signup but I don’t have Paypal. It’s not available in my Country ‘Pakistan’. Although i have Payoneer Debit card but Envato just work with paypal.

    Not sure about Australia, but this contest wouldn’t be legal in the U.S. There must be a no-purchase necessary option to enter. You can’t charge people money to enter a content unless you’re a registered lottery.

      They really are not charging anything, you ether have + or you don’t. So for being a tuts plus member you get this opportunity to win an iMac. For if you an existing member, no comment on “no-purchase necessary.”

        That would be the same as saying Pepsi gives away prizes for having the bottle cap. Either you get the bottle cap, or you don’t. Since you have to buy the bottle to get the bottle cap, US Law requires them to provide a free way of entering.

        You need to pay $9 to be on the Plus plan.

      Hey guys,

      Envato is an Australian company so any discussions pertaining to US law are not relevant – in Australia it is completely legal to offer prizes eligible to new customers. Many competitions actually require proof of purchase included with entry (i.e. a receipt).

      This giveaway is just aimed at saying thank you to the Plus members who fund the sites – but we will have a fantastic gift for all readers available on Friday (Australian time). Stay tuned!

    I really want one of these :) this is so awesome…have tried to get some free books that were given out on Nettuts but i never got one..:( Even the Sitepoint book was not available for download for countries like Malaysia

      I believe that’s some very clever wording. In essence, they are in fact telling the truth. Since everyone is able to join Plus if they so choose, everyone can in fact have a chance to win an iMac (though they have to pay for that chance).

    I love all the ridiculous comments from people that are practically begging for one of the iMacs, and giving all sorts of excuses and pleas. :) It’s a lottery people! You think just because you say ‘pretty please’ or tell Envato how much you ‘need’ one means they’ll just ignore everyone else and give it to you?! Amusing. :)

    I don’t know if it’s because of the Birthday Celeb mood or not but I’ve submitted a ticket a while back with my Plus account issue and haven’t heard anything back from Envato yet.

    After I paid for the membership and when I tried to login I’ve been taken to a page where it asks me to pay again (the Order page with those 4 plans listed) and wouldn’t let me use the service. Because of that I was hesitant to enter my username for the Mac drawing as I wanted to resolve the issue first before entering to make it legitimate.

    Strange that they haven’t responded back yet to help me make sure my account is is good shape for the Mac drawing!
