How Ubiquity Will Change the Way You Browse the Web

Holey moley! Things are changing – almost to the point of being scary. We’re going to have a lot of catching up to do in the next several years, as we move toward the “browser OS”. Enter Ubiquity – a new Firefox extension that will change the way you communicate with the web. Though we’ve known about it for many months now, the lab has recently released a major update. Be sure to review this screencast, by Aza Raskin, that details exactly what Mozilla’s Ubiquity project is.

When this releases, you’ll haft to spend some money on a proper guide – because people will have trouble understanding how all this works (including me) :)

    Very nice – keep evolving!

I feel that its just a matter of getting used to. There are so many end-users out there who want more power at their finger-tips, however they dont know where to start..

This is a wonderful idea, there is no doubt about it, but at the end of the day its up to the users to decide what they like or not.

Another great achievement from the ppl at Mozilla. Love it! The way the browser experience should work. Very UX oriented and simple. Now the hard part is changing the average person’s (non-techie) way of browsing. Always the battle, techies are easy, the rest of the population is much harder to convince.

“A plugin that takes right-clicked highlighted text and adds an option to redirect the query to google maps …” – So you don’t have to!!

this program would have some real use if it took youtube videos and converted them to mp3′s or avi’s……

..or maybe a list of youtube videos and then uploaded them to your IPOD….

    LOL
