Learn jQuery in 30 Days

Learn jQuery in 30 Days

Sometimes, it’s easy to become overwhelmed by how much there is to learn in this industry. If jQuery happens to be on your personal “need to learn soon” list, then I’m happy to announce my new course: “Learn jQuery in 30 Days”. If you’ll give me fifteen minutes a day for the next month, I’ll help you become a jQuery pro – and it’s free!

How Does it Work?

Learn jQuery

Sporadically, your skills will be put to the test, when you take the interactive quizzes!

Once you enroll (free) via email, each day, you’ll receive a 10-15 minute video lesson. As you might expect, every episode will build upon the one it proceeds, and, sporadically, your skills will be put to the test, when you take the interactive quizzes!

Along the way, you’ll learn the essentials (querying and manipulating the DOM), while incrementally working your way up to more advanced topics, such as jQuery’s AJAX methods and plugin development.

I worked particularly hard to make the process of picking up this new skill as easy as possible for everyone – even if you have very, very little JavaScript experience. So…do you want to join me?

Going to wait until there are 1336 registered students before I sign up. ;)

I really liked the first lesson. I think this method should be perfect for free users watching one lesson per day. But, for premium users like myself all videos should be available. I didnt even got the time to drink my coffee with only this lesson :( lol

Your “jQuery for absolute beginners” was great, so I think this would be great too!

In what version of jQuery have you maked this serie? I hope you have justed 1.7 or higher, because of the very nice new Event API?

    • http://www.jeffrey-way.com Jeffrey Way
      Author

jQuery for Absolute Beginners is so old. I’ll focus on jQuery 1.7.

Any prerequisites needed for this class?

    • http://skelliewag.org Skellie

If you’re comfortable with HTML & CSS, you’ll be fine :-)

  • alex

    Hi.
I have stable HTML & CSS knowledge.
I’m searching for high quality JavaScript tutorial/screencast series. Can anyone give me some advice?

I’ve asked a JS/jQuery dev, about diving into web development, what should I learn first. He told me to learn JavaScript first. It will be confusing if i learn jQuery first. Is that true?

And a final question for net.tutsplus devs. I study in Europe, 9th form. For the future, I want to chose a web development career. But I don’t know what to chose, front-end or back-end development. Front-end is closer to me. Some say, back-end devs are coding machines :-)

What knowledge, programming languages, libraries should a front-end dev know?

It’s mostly incredibly intimidating — especially when I feel like I’m always desperately trying to catch up with others.
