It was back in 2006 that Envato first launched with our very first site FlashDen. That means next week we’ll be turning 3 years old! Since web years are much like dog years, by my count that makes us pretty darn old. Given how we’ve grown, we’ve decided that this year it’s time we really kicked our celebrations up a notch. Next week for 3 days we’re going to have a massive sequence of birthday events, read on to find out what’s happening …
iMac Giveaways, a Tuts+ Birthday Bundle and Bonus Plus Tutorials!
It wasn’t until mid 2007 before Tuts+ first hit the world, beginning of course with Psdtuts+, but nonetheless we’re joining in the celebrations with lots of awesome stuff, including:

As if the files on our Envato Marketplaces weren’t already super cheap, we’ve gone and made what must be the best value deal on digital goods ever. Well, just one Question about the sentence:

How do you give them away, guests are normaly not registred/logged in so will there be a PopUp, do you have to register at nettuts (which everybody should do!) or just write a comment here or somewhere else? ^^

Happy Birthday Envato!
I really love the new website design but I see it isn’t as nice in IE7 (not that I’m a IE user).
1. The transparent background doesn’t stretch all the time.
2. IE doesn’t support round corners :(.
I just finished a website ( http://www.marktuitert.nl ) with similar techniques and I fixed these problems like this:
1. Transparent backgrounds need a min-height and not all the div’s that use transparent background have a min-height so just give them “min-height: 1px;”.
2. I made an IE specific CSS file to place images of rounded corners in each corner.

Any chance of a VideoTuts+ site in the coming year? It would complete the line-up and the web is sorely lacking a resource in this area that is of Envato quality.

On a sidenote though, you guys should really test the site in IE. It has horrible bugs in IE7.
Agreed. And the site looks weird in IE6 too – some of the backgrounds are missing resulting in grey text on green background.
Well, in ie7 the only bug I found is wrong margin of ad (the big one). Ie6, well no comments, it shouldnt be supported.

Beautiful envato site, like it very much, just one detail, the drop shadows from the wraps and those from the content/pictures don’t match =)…the light is coming from 45 degrees top left on the wraps and from 90 degrees top on the boxes…but really just a detail =)!
