This is the best site for education. Amen for this site!

For just $9 a month, with access to all of the Tuts+ sites, having a premium account simply cannot be beat. Ive learned a vast amount, and love watching the videos and following along. I have been a follower of this site for a while now, and really wanted to have access to more content. The premium member was my tool for accessing more knowledge. I would definitely advise any level of developer, programmer, or web guru to take a serious look at getting an account. Thanks to all of the authors for their hard work!

As a professional software developer I have to keep upgrading my skills or they will diminish. Tutsplus is always showing me new ways of doing something.

I am also a rabid photography nut and the amount of artistic skill and teaching that comes out of this site every day is immense. There is no way I could go through a day without coming to the site and reading the new content! I love it…

It’s an invaluable source for me and well worth the cost of my membership.

    Thanks…

This is the best site i never seen.
But i would like to see more premium tutorials :)
    Thanks tutsplus.

  • http://ameliorersonfrancais.com Thierry Bélanger Clermont

Since I’m a premium member, I am a better webdesigner. I learn a lot about CSS3 and HTML5. I really like the screencasts.

    This website is useful!

  • Rob

If Nettuts+ premium received one 10th of the update of the some of the other areas of tutsplus I would be happy. Alas, I canceled my membership after a month of nothing worthwhile.

Some of the other sites, like VectorTuts and Psdtuts+ offer source files as part of their Premium plans. That doesn’t really apply to Nettuts. We offer the source code to everyone.

With that said, I think we’ve posted a lot of really great and forward-thinking tutorials and screencasts in the last month. :)

Couldn’t agree more. I signed up mainly for access to the nettuts+ side and after viewing what I want, letting my membership sit for a couple months and receiving nothing worthwhile, canceled.

    • http://kineticmedium.com/portfolio Blake

I’ll agree that a bit more premium content would be rad, but hey $9? Not bad at all. Plus I’m into photo and psd tuts so that’s a bonus. On top of that I’ve learned great things that you don’t get at University classes. Like AS3 tutorials or Basix section on active tuts is quality. A lot of blogs just redo/regurgitate. So I like Tutsplus’ style. I’d recommend it to anyone looking to get in the know and sharpen skills.

As the Premium headlines teased me, I bought a 3 month membership. It was worth every penny. Thanks guys.

  • http://lowgravity.pl Kamil

I had 3x 3month membership in tuts+ and here are my thoughts:

    - Tutorials dont have better quality than regular tuts.. They are longer for sure – but better? Many of them are written in not appropriate way, not respecting good practice in many areas, many apps just are not working.
    - Sometimes I was waiting for ages just for new tutorial to come.

Besidees that above – Tuts+ are very nice idea and have a lot very good articcles- just please put more effort on checking what are You giving us as”premium” stuff

  • http://www.designfromwithin.com ThaClown

I have learned more from the Tuts+ community then from a 2 year study Multimedia….
Best 9 bucks I spend every month!

You can find educative articles all around the web, but there is one difference with those and the ones found on the Envato premium network: High quality & well written.

You can go and study for 2 / 3 years and pay alot.
Or you just go premium for ONLY $9 and learn more in just a month.

  • http://www.vectoreeno.com/ Vectoreeno

I’ve been a Premium Member for almost a year and it’s worth every penny since I’m a developer and a designer. My Web Design/Development freelance career would have progressed a lot slower if it wasn’t for the plus content. The fact that you can access all the different networks, blows my mind away. It really is an unbelievable value.

  • http://createmy.com.au Dale Hurley

Great tuts keeping us on top of different methods. When I go to a client they expect me to know how to do things. I find tuts is great for preparing me with the know-how and then at the client-site being able to fine the information real fast when I am stuck.

  • Marcin

I am still paying for the Premium plan, although I don’t really know if I will continue to do so. When I had more interest in Photoshop, I appreciated access to the source files. However, now that I am definitely more on the development side of things, I find that Premium tuts on Nettuts are no better that the regular ones. Quite to the contrary – the free ones are often excellent, while the premium ones are moderate to mediocre, with some notable exceptions.

    • http://lowgravity.pl Kamil

I see that we both think pretty the same ;)

Nobody is taking care about quality on premium stuff (I’m talking about nettuts)

      • Jones

Show me one site, that has the number of quality tutorials that nettuts has? Just one? The ‘Free’ tutorials are of the highest I have seen on the web and the ‘Premium Package’ is unbelievable value for the money. Yes if you are already an expert designer (web included) then you dont need the PSDTuts content ALSO if you are already a Pro developer, the high end (not quality, but education level) tutorials might not always be of use to you…. and so on.

This network of sites is here to help you develop, if you are a developer, then you should be doing the PSDTuts and VectorTuts to help you understand the design process involved in creating the visual side of what you code. Like wise if you are a designer.

Envato give you all the opportunities to help them help you. Make a Tut suggestion, recommend an author for them to approach, submit your own work. Do that, dont make off the cuff remarks about people not caring. It says more about you than it does about them.

      • http://lowgravity.pl Kamil

You have missunterstood me a little and talking about different thing.

Overal quality of tuts+ is just enormous – thay have fresh, good written tutorials and articles. But I’m talking about premium service which sometimes lack of regular tuts+ quality. I have made few nettuts premium tutorials which weren’t good, where screencasts had not synchronised audio, where application was rewritten from another app and wasn’t working, where good practice in basic areas was forgotten.

So please stop accusing me from blaming tuts+ and please read it one more time.

      • http://lowgravity.pl Kamil

And I would like to say it one more time – if we are talking about tuts+ – they are great, one of the best in industry – either You are a pro or beginner, but premium service hasnt been always “premium”..

      • http://www.lewiverdatama.com Lewi Verdatama

Sometimes i have the same thought like you. :)
I hope that Premium Tutorial ain’t just an introduction of some CMSs or some frameworks (that might pay Tuts+)

I only hope that Premium will get more comprehensive and deeply tutorials than Regular tutorials.
        Deep = Not just introduction

        Thanks :)
btw, i like Envato ideas by made alot of great services.

      • Paul du Long

@Lewi Verdatama I totally agree with you. Lots of the premium tutorials are beginners stuff. Please spice it up!:)

  • http://newarts.at Drazen Mokic

I could still search for a better tutorial site but i won`t find it. Definitely one of the best!

  • Gavin

With the development of their seventh premium site, Envato have made the cross-over from tutorial site to fully fledged educational resource. The network now caters for ALL aspects of a modern ‘online’ individuals needs. You wont find a single site that has the depth and quality shown on their community of sites.

As this post demonstrates, Envato are about servicing communities (Taking Feedback) and bringing them closer together. With out them and these communities, I would not have met the people I have met OR been invited to collaborate on some amazing projects.

Something tells me, this is only the beginning!

  • http://sahutbaju.com Sahutbaju

It’s awesome. For beginner to advance, for amateur to professional. I’ve been here for almost two years and a lot of tuts that make me have a fun life in the world wide web.

  • Steven Gough

When i signed up for a premium account i paid per year. So far i have learned so much about HTML5, CSS3, PHP, ASP, and way more. Now that they have cgtuts+ added to premium now its ever better. So i totally LOVE Tutsplus and ALL there sites.

  • http://craciunoiu.net Marius

Given that it only costs $9 for a month, go ahead and try it for a month and see if you like it. You can just buy the prepaid plan so it doesn’t charge you every month. If you like it, keep it. If you don’t, don’t.

  • http://www.lewiverdatama.com Lewi Verdatama

Honestly, I’m a kind of person that cannot learn by reading book or tutorial, but after join the Premium, i can learn more effectively and of course much more easy to understand. By joining Premium, we get full access to PSD+, NET+, and much more. The important thing that i love from TUTS+ Premium is the “easy to understand” step by step tutorial. The Video tutorial is the most interesting part of becoming Premium member.

Now i have a new hobby, designing WordPress Themes on PSD (learn from PSD+) and convert it to HTML and WP (learn from NET+). If i hate to follow the improvement of XHTML/CSS before, now i have all the passion to follow its development. CSS3 and HTML5 and so ooon..

Thanks TUTSPLUS! From $9.00 only, i got $500 worth tutorials.

  • http://www.websiteconsultants.org Sean

For $9 you can’t find a better deal; the resources available to each and every member is just out of this world. I personally have probably saved over 500 hours of work because of Tuts+. Why? The source files. Sure, I read the tutorial so I know how to do it in the future, but if I get stuck on and issue or something- I can simply download the source files and see what they did with my own eyes and then I have the choice to either use their particular piece of work or divert into my own creation with inspiration from that tutorial.

    Thanks Tuts+,

    Sean

Tuts are changing the way we use the internet. Envato has taken the reins.

I don’t even consider my membership fee to be a bill — it seems more like a worthy donation to very generous, talented professionals. There are things you can learn on this site that you wouldn’t learn in a 4-year degree. It’s so extremely practicable. The net tuts and active tuts videos are priceless much like the AE tuts seem. The PSD and Vector tuts are somewhat stylistic rather than procedural, but worth their weight in inspiration at the very least.

I can’t speak to much else, but I must say that I feel like Envato is well on its way to establishing one of a few very specific schools of designers and developers — styling us into a golden age of internet.

Lynda.com is a place for sophists and Jeffrey Way is my young Aristotle (even if Shaq is still the Big Aristotle).

  • http://www.fusicology.com Nina Morena

Tuts opened my eyes and changed the way I develop. From wireframing to the actual coding of any project. The community has helped my non-existent programming skills soar and now I can say at the very least I know PHP. I’m getting more than my $9 monthly fee.
