  • http://www.theaggressive.com Shawn

    very cool features….

I think something is wrong with the formating of this post. All The font appears to be in the same size as the header font size???

    • http://www.jeffrey-way.com Jeffrey Way

That’s odd. Looks fine to me.

      • http://www.theaggressive.com Shawn

Yeah, the formating looks good now. Don’t know what the issue was.

  • http://www.jeffrey-way.com Jeffrey Way

Do you guys think it would be helpful to have a quick “Open Structurer” link within the menu options, maybe under “Preferences”?

    • http://www.theaggressive.com Shawn

That would be a excellent addition Jeffrey!

      Author

      Nice Jeffrey, I’ll add that.

  • Daniel Golden

Hey Jeff, I’m hearing about Structurer for the first time. Is there a video or a review/explanation of what the application does here on nettuts?

  • Phatoz

Looks like an awesome tool. Would love to utilise it.

A list of system requirements would be nice.

As would a windows version, for us premium members.

    • http://www.neilrpearce.co.uk neil pearce

It’s great to see people offereing free apps from what would have been a lot of work. But after getting all excited, downloading it and then being told it’s not compatible with 10.5? Man…! and i thought i had a newish OS!

  • Andie Evans

    wot no….

    PC version?

    • http://www.jeffrey-way.com Jeffrey Way

  • http://www.andredublin.com Andre Dublin

    Yay! Premium Content!

  • Joao Lopes

Pc version on the way, if Jeffrey allows :)

  • http://raymondcornelius.net Ray Cornelius

Yeah, I myself was hoping for a Windows Version.

  • Jeremy Michel

Since there is still no version for windows, this is going on “Why Switch to Mac List” :).
On the other hand, I have tried it out on a Mac at my school, and it is pretty awesome. Thanks Cesar for this app.

  • Denys Mishunov

Would ge absolutely great if the app would allow to define items it needs to remove. For example, I have a template that along other things fetches the most recent HTML5 boilerplate from github. So far so good, but I would like to be able to say some thing like: “After fetching it, remove demo/, tests/ and theese couple of files” since I just don’t need them and don’t want to remove them manually every time I generate a project.

    Is it possible?

    • http://www.renetuin.nl René

Yeah it would be great if you can give up the names of files/folders that you don’t want.
Because if you download CI you also get the user_guide and I don’t that :)
So maybe that would be a great addon.
Besides that it’s a great app thanks guys.

  • Denys Mishunov

Am not sure how to contact the author so will ask here if it’s OK. The app is really awesome and does really good job for structures of the simple projects, but I have a problem. Hopefully somebody could explain me whether it is the app or just me :)

So, my template consists of 3 steps:

    :theme
    /changeme1/changeme2/:html5
    /css/base.css:getbasecss

Line 1. Is just copying the structure from one place to another on my HD. Works without any problem
Line 2. I download the most recent html5 boileplrate into /changeme1/changeme2/ structure from the previous line.
Line 3. I create base.css within /changeme1/changeme2/css/ (css/ already contains some files) and get contents for it from a URL.

The result of this template is that I get what I am asking for — the structure and the base.css with proper content are created. BUT, the other files in css/ are removed somehow. So, I assume, line 3 empties css/ and then adds base.css instead of just adding base.css.

Is that how the app is supposed to work? Is there a workaround for this to still keep the project’s creation process automated?

      Hi,

I have exactly the same problem as Denys Mishunov.
Step 1: I’m downloading the latest version of WordPress.
Step 2: I’m copying a blank version of my base theme in wp-content/themes

It’s working…but the existing content of the wp-content folder (default theme & plugins) is removed.

Has anyone worked out how to get Structurer to download Codeigniter and HMVC, with creating the modules folder etc.. ?

I have tried but it just seems to overwrite the previous folders when the next set of files is downloaded.

Would image it would be quite useful for a few people, if anyone has got the answer? :)

  • Bojan

My Structurer Menu is not working. I only see Refresh, Preferences and Quit :(. How can I fix this issue ?

    • bojan

already fixed. You can delete my previous post

I wonder if something like this could be done as an AIR app for WIndows? I’m with Jeremy Michel though. Deffinately going into my “Reasons to Scrimp and Scavange for Mac Money” list…

  • http://jagdogweb.com/ Ben Sweney

I downloaded the web developer pro bundle which had this app included and I have found it very useful except that foundation doesn’t work with this. I setup the link to download the file under content manager but it doesn’t download… please help!

    Thanks
    Ben

    • Matt Korsmo

A linux port would be great too.

  • ed

Would be awesome if there was integration with Alfred App.

  • Ali

Hmmm…am I missing something or is there a uber-premium membership I need to be able to grab Jeffrey’s database which he told Lucas he’s provide:

Sure – I’ll try to do that right now.

I don’t see a link to download that database, and it would really be nice if we could have an area where additional resources (like Jeffrey’s and other people’s exported databases) could be uploaded and available for download.

  • El Mousa

Too bad there is Still no PC Ver.
