If you did a little math, you might have realized that seven licenses worth $499 each doesn’t equal $5,000, as we mentioned in the title. So where’s the rest?

Well, there comes in the big one: If the number of comments exceeds 500, then we will select one winner for the FusionCharts Professional Bundle. The bundle is worth $1,499, and contains a license of each of their other data visualization components as well:

I need charting on a couple business applications, but mainly on an analytics app I’m working on for a client.

With any charting software I’ve used in the past, the biggest challenge is the learning curve followed by trying to get the charts to look how I want them on every browser.

I haven’t heard of FusionCharts before today, but from the demos I saw, it seems like they are robust and easy to use out of the box. I would love to be able to give them a try.

one my coming project needs a charting platform, may be this could help me out, i tried Siddharth’s charting plugin it was fun i would like to try this one out :)

  • http://41six.com Adam

We use charting in a number of our applications to show statistics to users and chart different things.

A problem with a lot of the current libraries are that they’re either too slow or very annoying to implement. I’d love a solution that was simple.

I’d never heard about FusionCharts before but their stuff is amazing. Interactive and beautiful.

  • Ricardo Torres

I’m a TI guy currently doing a lot of Cost Analysis so I’m always charting at work… I usually try to “squeeze” all the capabilities of the boring M$ X.L. charts with macros… so far I have managed to recreate a waterfall chart that “iterates” with the data, but you understand how limited it is to work with only those…

My biggest challenge its the minimal amount of charts available, and the limited chances to make those charts appealing, I would love to make some great dashboards with FusionCharts!!!

I believe that they have it all, an extense gallery, great programming capabilities… simply great!

  • Giovanni

We need charting on our website to display real estate data.

The single biggest challenge faced with charting is to find something that is easy to implement and, more importantly, easy to maintain.

What I love most about FusionCharts is the fact that they look slick looking and easy to use. It is a very robust charting solution. I have tried out their demo versions in the past but their pricing is quite prohibitive.

  • http://www.littlerocket.ca Erik

    Where do you need charting?
I need charting in my professional and academic career, the ability to have interactive charts would add value and substance (and style) to my work flow.

What is the single biggest challenge you face with charting?
Getting data into an interactive form that is easy to manipulate and share with others.

What do you love most about FusionCharts?
I love the integration with different languages and the numerous types of charts offered!

    :D

  • mc

well, that would be great, I came across Fusion Charts, they seems to solve our current problem in visualisation of our statistics.

    Where? golf site w. statistics
challenge? nice looking ROBUST charts with seamless integration
what I like? nice and professional support

    anyway, great oportunity

  • Reza Haghighi

I need charting tools to represent statistics, clearly and simple for most of the people in many kind of my projects like in the part of integrated telephony system that show the incoming, outgoing or miss calls in different phone lines.

Handling the large data source is the biggest challenge for developers I think but with dataXML method in Fusion Charts this challenge made simple.

I use the free version of fusion chart before and the most important and attractive thing for me is the ‘Easy to Use ‘ APIs for developers and also Good Documents is main advantage for Fusion Charts.

  • eric

I need this to deliver metric data to senior management. We can get the data but every delivery method we have found so far is hoaky looking. I would be embarresed to show it off. That is also my biggest challenge.

P.S. My persistance will pay off. I will win one of these give aways one day!!!!!!

  • http://magplazza.com Mike Nguyen

I would like to use your chart in analytic tools. Moreover, I am dreaming about a business intelligence dashboard using PHP, charts and gauges. I know right now people use .NET products and other .NET controls to create business dashboard but I think technologies don’t have limit. PHP is a hot language and with the help of Fusion chart, I think provide real time business data would be no problem.

The biggest challenge with the chart that I have found is it takes many time to write code for the chart as well as integrate chart with data grid and other controls. While .NET provides design layout where you click and click. I don’t know how Fusion chart handles this but I am downloading the trial now and I will definitely check it out.

I love the 3D, the chart types, the gauges, the dashboard of Fusion chart. They look so awesome to me. When I look into the demo page, I think I am in front of the business dashboard where I can view real time info about my business and make a decision if something goes wrong right away (ie sales drop)

  • http://www.deviantlogic.ca Avi Aialon

    Hi, first off, good article.

I will need this charting for analytic reporting purposes for myself and my clients.
The biggest challenge i face right now with charting is that i currently use Coldfusion’s build in charting features. And since i recently moved to learning and using PHP, these features are no longer available to me. Im not even getting into how much more clear and user friendly FusionChart is as compared to CF’s charts.

What i like about FusionChart, is that first off, aesthetically, they are unmatchable. secondly, from what i saw in the demos, i was actually able to understand the data at first glance .. HUGE PLUS!

I also liked the multi dimensional features such as country charting etc… This can really come in handy when displaying stats or sale reports.

BUT THE BIGGEST PLUS OF THEM ALL -> EXPORTING TO JPG/PNG/PDF.. .I’ve never this done yet, or mabey i just need to get out more ;)

So with this said, i WOULD LOVE to win FusionCharts licenses.

I’m currently working for a “big” school project on a event management system (specialised in sport events). This is an actual project that’s probably going to host over 200 sport events a year!

Since this is for school and for a non profit organisation there’s no fund for such a tools.

It would be very very nice if we could use these charts on our dashboars (which are actually the most important part of our system)

FusionCharts look awesome, they work smooth, they display the charts in a very clear way and they are easy to maintain. Really perfect to fit in this project.

  • http://twitter.com/xrommelx xRommelx

    i am in ?

  • Shaun

I need (better) charting for a store application I’m developing.

The single biggest challenge I face with charting is two-fold (both are related):
    1. Ensuring labels fit.
    2. Configuring the chart’s appearance to match my designs.

What I love most about FusionCharts is the amount of flexibility and features that it offers.

  • casey provost

This would be awesome. Been looking for a great tool to use in our reporting system.

“You can never solve a problem with the same kind of thinking that created the problem in the first place.” – Albert Einstein

Fusion shows that Einstein was correct by inventing new solutions to problems with outside of the box thinking. Keep it up Fusion!

  • Sid

I use flash charts to display stats and analytics data inside facebook applications. I tried many different options – javascript doesn’t work inside a typical facebook app and some other flash charting solutions seemed to have a bigger learning curve. I settled on FusionCharts’ open source version and was pleased to see how easily I could integrate it into my PHP apps. I haven’t considered any other solution since I found FusionCharts.

I rate it tops for the small learning curve, the variety of available charts (even in the free version) and how customisable it is (simply add some attributes to your XML file).

    Cheers.

  • Christophor S.

Where we need charting: As most people already know the FusionCharts charts are very beautiful and easy to tie into, for these reasons we are wanting to use them in our personal weight lose application built using jQuery and PHP.

Challenges: As a developer in this fast paste industry we needed to be able to rapidly deploy applications for a fast turnaround time on projects, you don’t want to waste a lot of time trying to find out how to use a new system or trying to skin it! It was a breath of fresh air when we found an ad on Nettutes for FusionCharts they offer everything that we were looking for all in one easy to understand licensing. Trying to find a flexible, feature rich, easy to use charting system that we could skin to tie in to our current application, I think we found it with FusionCharts.

What we love about FusionCharts: As I mentioned earlier FusionCharts charts are very beautiful and easy to tie into, they offer both 2D/3D charts great for displaying different types of data to users. Using XML as its data interface and a clean API, it makes it simple to tie into and use, making a developers life simple for deploying new applications using FusionCharts.

If somebody’s going to win it – then why not me?

Q – Where do you need charting?

A – Would be fantastic use this tool to show different polls on some web projects.

Q – What is the single biggest challenge you face with charting?

A- Although there are different ways to show data with CSS/Javascipt nowdays not exists nothing comparable with FusionCharts, or perhaps I don’t know other alternatives. Particulary, all data than I’ve showed on my projects, I have used percentages and simply I have substituted the percentages number with pretty images, but not more far than that

Q – What do you love most about FusionCharts?

A – Sincerely, I have heard before about FusionCharts, but unfortunatelly i haven’t got an own bussiness so usually is not my decision use or buy this tool for projects.

Cheers, and I hope have some luck

  • JF Bibeau

I need charting for a new project we’re working on which would need to represent financial data. What better way to represent financial data than pie charts and line graphs!

I’ve looked at FusionCharts a few months ago and used their trial to implement our charts – it was simple, easy and fun to use. Unfortunately we’re (very) small so we decided to try to run with a free solution instead. However I’m finding its definitely not up to par with fusion charts. Things like customizing the charts and populating data with PHP arrays was something Fusion Charts did the best, hands down. Not to mention they have the best looking charts around!

Winning this would be awesome :D

  • Alfonso Harita

They seem real neat! I would like to give them a try!

  • http://redvapours.com,paragraphs.in Prashant

I need Fusion Charts for developing an online application which allows business to manage their financial accounts in more than 1 ways and I would need to have some sort of Dashboard developed for them.

The single biggest challenge with charting is how to keep it interesting and simple all at the same time. Interesting so that the business users do not actually bore themselves while looking at the bars and lines. And by Simple, I mean that even if we do enhance their functionalities, interface… how to keep the charts actually understandable for the business person.

I have been developing my test application based on the evaluation version of Fusion Charts V3.
I have had setup the Free version too, but compared to the V3 it lacks some important aspects of user interface plus added functionality is really a bonus. Usability wise Fusion Charts have been a boon as they are simple and provide much more access to the details and visual customization.

I would really like to have my hands on the Fusion Charts license ….The Widgets, and Power charts and Maps would be an added bonus :)

    –Prashant

  • http://travel-junkie.com Boris

Well, I’d use it to display site stats to potential customers. None of the charting scripts I tried so far (js and flash) have been that easy to set up really. The draggable demo looks really cool!

  • Vlad

    Where do you need charting?
Where you don’t need it? In our time of information we just have to give users ability to get this information quickly, easily, understandable and attractive.

What is the single biggest challenge you face with charting?
Zoomable animated Pie / Doughnut chart. So when we activate one slice we zoom and see how we can slice this slice.

What do you love most about FusionCharts?
EXPORTING (server side pdf export is cool)!!! and printing from right click :)

  • Caleb

This would be perfect for a business project I am working on.

  • http://blog.piotrnalepa.pl Sun Pietro

I’m in. I’d like to use it for my web application that monitors internet traffic.

  • Paul J

    1. I need charting at the school district where I work

    2. Currently have lots of data, but need a better option for dashboard reporting

    3. love the way fusionCharts look and their eas-of-use.

  • Nelsaidi

    Where do you need charting?
Projects I’ve worked on before I’ve used to display data which shows how many times an action has been performed and when, time used. Ontop of that values generated from algorithms are displayed. Along side those are the standard statistical figures you’d expect on website statstics. Projects I’ve displayed charts on have been backend applications, designed to work cross platform – on mobiles and computers.

What is the single biggest challenge you face with charting?
Using the appropiate solution – There are currently Google Charts API, Open Flash Chart, Javascript/CSS Based Charts, and Fusion Charts. Although Google Charts is static, personally it has met alot of my demands – especially on cross platform (mobile) compatible sites – serving an Google Charts graph for mobile and a prettier version for PC’s is too much hassle. What I have thought about doing is a chart abstraction for PHP – allows some sort of usage accross all chart types which will allow much easier content serving for myself aswell as others; that is if i find time and the need to do it. Whilst flash charts (fusion and open) use little CPU on modern computers, i’ve had to compromoise for older computers in the past and either use a static solution or cut down on the fancy effects.

What do you love most about FusionCharts? In case you haven’t heard of them before, check out the online demos.
I’ve looked at them in the past, however the price has put me off using it, especialy for hobbie projects and low budget projects. Despite that, I’m yet to see a chart solution which delivers such a solid solution – looking at the demo of newer versions the graphics are much better than the competition. The integration with Javascript on quick inspection seems to be easy, and whilst possible with Google Charts API, FusionCharts allows for an unlimited data set (or so it seems).

In summary FusionCharts is great and meets pretty much all your needs, but there is some cheaper (or free) competition which meets most of your needs, however serve content in a less pretty format.

    • http://www.fusioncharts.com Sanket (FusionCharts Team)

Glad to know you like FusionCharts. Just wanted to let you know that we have a free and open source offering called FusionCharts Free (http://www.fusioncharts.com/free) which is particularly well suited for hobby and low budget projects.

  • http://www.markdijkstra.eu Mark Dijkstra

Need a better/good charts tool for my new cms system.

The biggest challenge is to display the charts in a easy way and that it is easy to understand by the customurs/clients.

Whats not to love about this well knowen product. I love that it has so many cool and good looking type of charts. Also it’s easy to use(very important).

  • http://www.tm-stats.com Teun Beijers

I need charting for a project I’m currently working on that displays statistics from all Trackmania(a racegame played by ~2 million people) servers. It will display driven times and personal bests etc. And I’d also like to use some charts for that.

This biggest challenge with charts is to make a chart that works fast both client and serverside but still looks nice/stays easy to understand for the client.

That they do my biggest challenge perfectly well :), that’s all I need.

    • http://www.tm-stats.com Teun Beijers

Working on a site that is :). Typo ^^

  • Joyce

I need charting for my various dynamic web apps where I need to display
a whole lot of data and comparative details, in the least cluttered way to my app users.

The single biggest challenge for me with charting not is to skin and customize it. To me charting is an information design tool to communicate figures to your viewers, with the least possible words they are meant to tell the whole story or provide the important message. I am not a great designer, and thereby in search of a charting tool with clean and interactive would be a great choice.

I have seen my ex-colleagues using FusionCharts in one of their products, and when I looked into their dashboard, I remembered the first thing I said to them was “Wow”. Fusioncharts give a professional look and the interactive presentation really do a great job in communicating the information. It just basically fulfills my need in adding interactive data visualization within my web applications.

    Apparently…

  • Mark

I need charting for a visitor tracking and sales tracking application I am working on for virtual worlds. It will allow the data to be presented in multiple ways, and allow virtual merchants to see how well their promotions are working, and how they affect sales and traffic.

One of the biggest challenges in charting is finding an easy way to do it, that also allows flexibility. My charting needs for this application will require that the datasets be dynamic, able to focus in or pull out to different levels of specificity.

I have used the Fusion Charts demo, as well as a few other offerings, and the Fusion Charts package is probably the most complete, and yet easy to use offering I have seen. It offers great flexibility without overloading the developer. The ability to animate changes, and adapt charts to user action is excellent.

  • Zweihander

I’m always in need of a few good charts for the various blog’s I set up for myself and my clients. Integration within the various CMS’s is always a pain. In addition, I can never find any good dynamic apps that fit the broad charting requirements I have (I need more than just a bar graph most of the time).

I love the dynamic nature and the broad range of applications that FusionCharts offers. I’d love to get in on it all. It would be a great help!

  • http://www.point4media.nl Wijnand

I currently use charts for our E-mail marketing application. My clients love the way the charts show up of their recently sent campaigns. Secondly we develop online year estate plans and a stunning chart always does the job.

The most challenging of working with charts is not the implementation, but the way you choose to visualize the data. I love big 3d bars and smooth pie charts but the viewer has to see the story behind the charts. Par example the Country comparison chart in the example above is a sight for sore eyes, but if you want to know the actual earnings of Germany in 1998 the big earnings of 1997 stand in the way. A beautiful chart, but nor very practical.

The FusionCharts team did a really beautiful job and i know they know like no other how to tell a story with their charts and I would love to tell my story with a stunning charts library.

  • http://www.bierzodiario.com Jesus

We are a little local online newspaper in Spain and we need a platform like FusionCharts to begin made charts for our readers and make our news more accessible… We can present economic data, elections results and other data in a more friendly form and sure that FusionCharts can aid us in this purpose.

  • http://www.marioawad.com Mario Awad

I need to use charts to display statistics for a stock management system I’m currently building.

The biggest problem with most charting libraries is their look and feel.

FusionCharts has amazing looks and also print support. Two features you just can’t live without.

Thanks for the great giveaway. Good luck to all :)

  • Kristoff

    Hello

The funny thing is that for the last 4 days I was already checking this charts out.
I needed some visual application for my SEO work, how the websites I’m working on are doing.

I could show clients stats very easy and this charts looks just stunning!

I was so impressed with documentation and that you can actually play with it in demo version.

I already prepared PHP script to pull all needed data from my SQL database. I had to work out lots of little stuff but was worth it just to check if this is going to work. Its amazing how intuitive it is.

I was going to buy User version but if I could get my hands on Pro version that would be awesome especially that Pro version has more Charts like 3d Column with extra lines!

So please consider someone who really needs it, have some knowledge about product and is already prepared to use it!

    Cheers
    Kristoff

  • http://webtropoliz.com Richard A

I am starting a new app for the company I worked for. The app is going to provide statistics about their clients and how their clients are using the application the company sells, hence graphical charting will be a great help on many parts of the statistic reports that will be in place.

  • http://portlandonrails.com Jason Schmidt

We wantz it. We needz it. Filthy fat hobbits stolez it. My Precious Fusion Charts. It lovez us.

    • http://www.fusioncharts.com Sanket (FusionCharts Team)

ROFL!! That is one of the funniest comments I have seen :D

  • http://montanaflynn.me Montana Flynn

Visualizing data is important to convey an important message to my clients. Sometimes plain text will just not get the point across. I need charts for my search engine marketing and cost per click campaigns! For example: ROI, You have spent $XXX and got XX leads / sales. Not very convincing is it? Imagine that same data in a beautiful 3D Combination (Dual Y) graph!

The biggest challenge I face is getting the data from one source and creating charts, currently I use iWork to create my pretty pie graphs but I think with FusionCharts I could directly take my data and create the charts effectively cutting out the middle man.

My favorite thing about FusionCharts has to be the amount of customizability they offer, if I want my charts to match a clients color scheme I can do that, if I need to create three graphs with similar data I can alter the angle or lighting effect to create something that feels fresher than 3 standard graphs.

PS. I want to make a google analytic adobe AIR app that uses FusionCharts, is this possible with the standard licensing or would I need to contact someone at the company?

    • http://www.fusioncharts.com Sanket (FusionCharts Team)

Thanks for your kind words Montana. Regarding your Adobe AIR app, why don’t you write to me at sanket[at]fusioncharts[dot]com?

  • http://carter.southdoylems.knoxschools.org Michael Carter

I use the free version of FusionCharts for looking at data in our school. We are creating charts to look at discipline trends as well as tutoring needs for students who struggle in certain state objectives. We also look for patterns of low objective achievement within a certain classroom, ethnic categories, economic categories, etc and use this info to get teachers to share what teaching strategies help improve classroom instruction the most.

Fusion charts are much easier to use that Google Charts (at least easier in the way that I think about things). They are great for use in PHP web projects as well as Filemaker databases.

  • Eli

Dealing with a real estate project which needs visualization for their financials and income versus sells of home to prospects.

Having a way to present the data would be awesome! The project I’m working on is in its infant stages but I have been pondering about how it would be possible and visually appealing to take all the data on the site and show it to the user in a chart format.

To be honest I have looked online for many free scripts but they are all cut dry, and don’t meet my expectations or need extensive work to integrate seamlessly into my project site.

Having read up on FusionCharts I’m extremely eager to purchase a license now! but I’ll keep my fingers cross until May 7th ;-)

It even makes me feel more creative to ways of how I can use a service like FusionCharts in other of my projects, or even making a feature where I’ll purposely need to use charts!

I am seriously need the Fusion Charts because that the only one professional charting tool for years… and I wanted it to use to my Subversion management application, which to is developing under GPL licence, it you guys should conceder of offering it to me.

As far as I see, there are thousands of chart applications and some free and some commercial, but fusion chart is used for many enterprise platforms. So, to make success of a product, its better go o with well known solution. There for fusion charts will be really useful for my ongoing project.

the nice feature of fusion charts is, it has availability of all the wide range, simple chart to 3D like stunning looking charts.

new startup web company project is a bit under wraps but need to have some clean professional charts.

Biggest challenge is affording a good chart system with financing the startup myself… I’ve been putting off launch in part to this.

I really like how sharp the charts look.
