  1. Thanks for featuring Simpla Admin, Jarel!

And for all you whiners out there: If developers are doing wrong when buying templates, then designers are doing wrong when purchasing a CMS to update their content instead of programming their own platform.

When people here start to realise that Tuts+ is part of the Envato Network, and all the various sub-networks have much camaraderie and love for the work they each do.

Is it really so wrong to support the different ‘teams’ that work within the same company?

And are you really SO desperate for EVERY SINGLE POST from NetTuts+ to be the absolute best, freshest and most ground-breaking information to hit the web?
How about you all go out, start a community site like this one, make posts at least three times a week (if not more) and just try to see how long you can keep up the constant stream of information.

Jeffrey and the contributors here do an amazing job to keep regular posts coming out at regular intervals, and while sometimes it might not be exactly what you were waiting for, remember these two things:
    1. It’s NOT the end of the world! Go to some other community sites like this one, and bide your time while waiting for the next NetTuts+ post – (I frequent about 10 sites, almost daily, to see what’s going on.)
    2. This is a COMMUNITY, and is built around MANY people, not just you and your wants.

(And in case someone’s already thinking it, no this is not a “Leave Britney/NetTuts alone” post, because I say so :P )

There are some great programs here, particularly “airmail” and the “under construction” template. Using email templates has always been a bit fiddly, with uncertain results due to the many different programs and platforms they are view on, so to have a program that applies universally, and has much flexibility in terms of doing newsletters, email marketing and more, is fantastic!

I also very much like the look of the “under construction” template for Wordpress, with its pie chart of how near to complete the site is. Having a simple “page under construction” can have negative connotations as many pages seem to forever under construction. Something interactive like this reassures the viewer of the progress and is a nice addition to any site construction.

I hope to read similar top tens soon, these are excellent resources that I bookmark and regularly refer back to!

  8. susi says:

    it smells!!!!
is this a new kind of ad-ticle?
    too much themeforest to me!

  9. The quality of templates online is getting very high, I have clients that just buy them in and then get us to modify them in-line with their identity.

I’m liking the one page folio website design.

  10. this is the best site for machines

  11. Pooja says:

I agree more for web designers than developers

  12. beautiful templates

  13. OpenSoft says:

    All nice and all but…

Aren’t you guys shamelessly shifting from a extremely useful web resource to a showcase of themeforest stuff?

    That’s a shame.
