The names are so misleading. I think the branding needs to change.

tuts+ is what all the sites are under. Most postings are free and don’t require a membership, but a tuts+ PLUS tutorial means it is a higher quality tutorial which requires membership, and also includes the downloadable source.

Thanks Nick for the clarification. I guess what I mean is, (as someone who follows this site regularly and knows the difference) I can’t imagine any new subscriber knowing the difference between the two (right away) and being enticed to subscribe to the Nettuts + Plus service.
I think the name should change to something like, “Netuts+ Premium”
Does this not distinguish the two far greater?

the subdomains mean that a new site can be added without having to secure the separate domains (many of which have been bought by individuals) so i think its a good idea.
i think envato are still hoping to secure tuts.com from the current owners, but i guess that these things take time.
