Color Inspiration: Awesome Red Websites
Red is a very powerful and strong color. It’s associated with a variety of things, from courage and bravery to warnings and danger. It’s also, of course, strongly tied to love and passion.
It’s a popular color in website design, though, due to its boldness, is most commonly used as an accent color. With that said, there’s no reason why it can’t take on a more prominent role in a website’s overall design, as demonstrated in these twenty-five awesome red websites.

I love the use of red on the web – awesome collection of websites using the colour really well!
This is a great selection of sites that show a range of styles, all with the right usage of colour. It is clear from these examples that red can be combined successfully with a range of other colours, if used in the right context.
I particularly like the ‘Take the Walk’, ‘Host Riser’ and ‘Big Spaceship’ sites from the examples given. The ‘Host Riser’ site makes great usage of drop shadows, gradients and reflections, resulting in a very modern and appealing style.
Take the walk uses a lot of black, yet it is not depressing or overpowering. This adds to the feel of the site, and combined with red and white makes a visually appealing style. I will be interested to read the examples given in the comments and see any additional sites of this quality.

My I sugest another two of my own?
The company have two different line of products, one for heavy tools and other for irrigation, and the same red logo. So I came up with to different approachs: http://www.krebs.com.br/krebs/ and http://www.krebsfer.com.br/2009/

I know I’m repeating myself but it would be nice to write “why” such site is good instead of just throwing sites around. You know, like educate people, debate and everything.
At least, in this article, I actually liked the examples. “Take the Walk” example is a bit disturbing to use red in this context. Red and dark colors are always a good match to captivate the audience’s attention thought.
+1, I’d really prefer 2 or 3 really good examples with a small breakdown of how they made good use of a certain element (in this case – red), rather than a horde of mediocre sites with no indication to what’s good in the design.
