  1. I am a fan of the minimal footer, hard to stay how much attention a footer below the fold draws customers and clients.

  2. Mediumjones says:

Nice selection – but it looks like a majority of these thumbnails have skewed their contents’ native dimensions… That’s a darn shame :(

  3. The screenshots are not good scalled :/

  4. Edward says:

All the screen shots look like they weren’t downsized correctly. The appear to be squish horizontally.

  5. Ksilem says:

    those are some nice footers
defenitly a good source of inspiration for my next websites

    thx jeffrey way

  6. AKLP says:

best was one probably from “ectomachine”.
Some of them i really didnt like, mostly cause they were less of footer and more the half page long…

  7. David says:

Did I count wrong or is number 40 missing?

  8. Adam says:

Looks like googleapis was down for about 30 minutes. Nettus was extremely slow for me. I tried Twitter to see what was happened. Too bad twitter is also using googleapis to host some javascripts, I think, and the searching function did not seem to be working. Everything is fine now, I see a few people on the twitter said they have the same problem, so at least, this is not just for me.

Humm!!! CDN may not be reliable??? (You probably remember that the amazon S3 was down a few weeks ago)

    • Adam says:

And, those footer designs are awesome! Thank you for sharing!

    • Considering how many websites use googleapis it’s scary to think about the effect is has when it’s down. Might make some people think twice about using it. I’ll continue to use it for the time being, but if there are any more downtimes like this, then…

  9. Fynn says:

    Foxtie site… WOW! Just wow….

  10. Fynn says:

By the way.. I think sunrisedesign.com background + footer design looks a lot like viget.com.

  11. Dave says:

Very pretty stuff, nice work! Still, I’m hoping that the trend of very tall footers goes away soon. Actually, I thought it was already over. :)

I’d make an exception in cases like the above, with exceptional graphics content, or in cases where a lot of information must be displayed and there’s no other good place to put it.

  12. Rolf says:

The one from . thepixel is very nice, love it

  13. Anthony says:

Some absolutely stunning sites, oh yeah we’re talking about footers. I like the horizontal scroll from deanoakley. Although I don’t think I would ever use something on one of my personal sites. I just think it’s a nice touch that I’ve only came across a few times.

I’m more of a subtle footer type of guy. For people to know it’s there, here is the information, but it’s not too in your face. But some really creative takes here that make me think twice.

    Great list, thanks!

    -Anthony

  14. johnny says:

Awesome footer collection! http://www.Designzillas.com does a great job also, and they use a cave-drawing style that really ties in well with their brand in the footer. It’s worth checking out!

  15. Dan Wellman says:

    Great round-up :)

I’m a fan of the full-fat footer. I like it chunky and expressive, and I don’t subscribe to the ‘below the fold’ argument…

  16. aziq says:

  17. I am so happy to see my footer’s friend website, Rubbik, on this post.
