    Sweet! I love sliders partly because of the stab in the heart they gave to Flash, and partly for the coolness of being able to put so much content “above the fold” so elegantly.

        #1, #3, #4, #6, are the same and are basically irrelevant for a majority of web uses (I don’t need it, and I’m not attempting to speak for everyone).

        #10- Full screen? No F11 on your keyboard? Not to mention, every phone browser IS full screen.

        Oh, and Flash is slow and requires duplicate data for SEO. I said it.

        I agree with David and adds the following:

        HMTL can actually (in combination with JS) create desktop apps. Sort of anyway. There’s solutions like Titanium that supports that kind of functionality.

        Flash was awesome 5 years ago, now HMTL5 is the cool kid.

    here we go with the Flash bashing lol what is your problem with Flash ?
    do you have valid complaints or a you just jumping on the Flash bashing band wagon ?

    These are a great collection of sliders, and they are getting close to what Flash is capable of doing,
    I love standards based code but I also think that the Flash platform has it’s place as well

    I make websites because I enjoy writing my own code. All of these are from codecanyon. I find sliders that are free and do a decent job.

    I write websites on my own, I don’t see the point of these unless you have no prior coding experience.

    Yeah, image sliders are all the rage right now, and I bet by mid-2011, HTML5/CSS3 sliders will take off as primary in Webkit and Firefox 4 browsers and will degrade as jQuery for others.

    Can you display video in any of these sliders, in stead of images?

      My SV Slider and SV Ultimate Slider, as well as many of the others that support html content, should be able to support videos. Although you might run into problems when combining videos with specific transitions types. But if you have coding experience you might be able to overcome some of the problems that occur through the use of callback functions supported by some of the sliders.
