      It’s not that expensive. :)

        and really helpful ;)

Really? not that expensive? Ok sure $20 by itself isn’t all that much. but per month just to read some tutorials that i could find elsewhere in the net by another author. Yea $20 is kind of pricey for something many many free tutorials offer. I pay for a lot of my services, and this site has a lot of good tutes (so dont get me wrong i really like this site). But $20/mo isn’t going to happen. I have a printed book entirely on JS unit testing I got for $15 from amazon which is quite good.

Shawn – Nobody is forcing you. You got a unit testing book on Amazon for $15. Great.

Well we have a very similar course coming shortly – and we also have countless tutorials, dozens of courses (with 5+ new ones every month), and bunches of ebooks. We also actively help members on our forums.

If you can’t afford it, then fine. But the service is a great deal. I spend more on lunch.

Nobody is forcing you to keep the subscription forever, either. Personally, I’ve been sleuthing the site for about a year, and finally bought the premium subscription last month. I have found the information within to be well worth the $20/month. I feel that it’s higher quality than the free tutorials; meaning I can learn more in less time, all in one place. When it comes right down to it, my time is worth much more than this subscription. If yours isn’t, that’s cool. But this service is definitely worth it.

Top notch work to all the Tuts+ Premium contributors!

Spoken from something with no kids. $19/month is a lot when you are canceling other things to make room for a growing family. How about after X months these premium tutorials become free?

Hi Seth – It’s honestly just a matter of how much we need to charge in order to cover the considerable costs of organizing and creating these courses, ebooks, etc. It’s not for everybody.

I could see your point of view if you were getting access to only one tutorial, but the fact is that you get access to all of the premium content with that $19/month. Remember that it includes tutorials from all the the Envato sites. As a freelance web developer investing $19/month for access to tutorials that will help every aspect of your development (Web development, mobile development, taking photos, Photoshop, etc.) and overall appeal is not that much.

    Very usefull!

But the ‘paul irish pink color’ on select doesn’t match with the colors on the page. Replace it with the ‘tuts+’ orange color or something else.
