Terminal, Git, and GitHub for the Rest of Us: Screencast

So you’ve read the tutorials, and still can’t manage to figure out this stuff? What is Git – and why do we even need it? If you fall into this category, much like I did at one point, I’ve recorded a video tutorial that hopes to teach you exactly how to get started. Rather than feeling your eyes blur over as you attempt to comprehend code snippets like “git push origin master,” relax, and let me explain it to you as best as I possibly can!

FYI, there is something horribly off between the audio and video–the audio is at least 30 seconds ahead of the video. I tried both the inline and the iTunes version. The link to the MP4 download version is broken. Sounds like a great tutorial–sure would love to see it (properly).

The video sync issue hasn’t been corrected so I took actions into my own hands :-) , sorry Jeffrey. I downloaded it from itunes and re-synced the file in Premiere. Here is the link to the new synced version on youtube. Jeffery, contact me if you want to remove it and/or if you’d like the file to replace this out of sync version.

Not trying to step on anyone’s toes, just want to make sure that this great tutorial is accessible. Thanks for doing it, BTW, because it’s very helpful
