This is the best tutorial I have seen so far. I’ve explored numerous tutorials, and not one compares. This covers everything I need. The only question I have, is how do I expand on the admin options? I would like to create a section in the admin dedicated to my plugin, which then can have links to modifying mutliple sections.

hi,

very nice intro to plugins.

What i like to do is to create a table of some sort just in the WP Admin section to show all products and their details.

Some questions:

0/ __() and _e() are WP functions??
1/ How would oscimp_getproducts() work in the Admin sectiion???
2/ Does WP come with a sort of table creator function??

You really made my day, this was exactly what I was looking for. It is very well written and explained, thank you very much.
My issue is kind of different (changing the header for every page dinamically and querying a database also) but your approach is quiet close.

Thanks for this tutorial, it’s helping me alot now that I’m writing my first WP plugin. Only thing I miss is how to add a custom table to the wordpress db, but I found that part in another tutorial.
