this theme dosent have a chaching methode, so the rotating banner takes much time to load, may be becouse of of jQuery (Jus kidding) but same thing can be done with simple DOM,

You guys are using jQuery and making a bad name for it, try to make smooth animations in those areas as well as  with jquery

any way, Im nota  QA Guy, just take those point as a simple user comment
