when it comes to wordpress there is two definite sources :

    - lynda.com
    - wordpress professional plugin development book.

I wouldn’t say docs because it sucks.

I am premium member and I don’t like upgrading only for this course.

I would have upgraded if it was django or python related course since the need for those kind of courses is more, and sources around the web aren’t that useful too.

We add 2-3 new courses every month. If this one isn’t for you, maybe the next one will be.

I love it, I’d love to learn this too, but I’m only interested in this course. What if I join for a month but don’t finish the course? Do I have to continue the subscription to reference it or is there like a download area or something?

        Hey Jeff,

Perhaps you could could introduce an A-LA-CARTE option for Premium tutorials so we can consume the ones we need?

  • supprof

thank you jeffry way very mutch!
    i have question for you.
how can a man like me be intrested in wordprss plugin conception if he doesn’t know how to make a wordpress theme?!
i think that a wordpress series theme videos tutorial is needed here!!

    Hi,

    Thanks a lot.

jeff good tutorial. Is there any tutorial coming on psd to WordPress themes.

what will be next tutorials this month.

  • http://kustomdesigner.com Mike

To Supprof and Irfan: Jeff already did a Psd to Html to WordPress series that is top notch, theres really no need for him to do another one. However there is definitely room for some advanced wordpress theme creation training, maybe one based around responsive wordpress themes, since that seems to be where were heading.

I don’t see why so many people are afraid to put in a lousy $10 dollars. These guys put out the most relevant tutorials in the industry and by supporting them it’s only gonna get better. The best part is they listen to their subscribers and often have follow up tutorials extending the series if requested by enough people. As young as nettuts+ is, if we support them we can turn this into the best learning site on the net
(if it’s not already…) however if everyone just continues to complain and surf the net for freebie halfass tutorials then this site won’t ever reach it’s potential. Noones gonna write kickass tutorials for nettuts+ for free so you all need to subscribe, atleast give it 3 or 4 months and see where it goes. Oh and jeff keep us updated on the html5 book you have coming out, definitely gonna check it out. Cheers:)

    • supprof

that was an old serie (3 years ago or more)
and since that wordpress has been changed. 3 years in the web it’s a lot of time
but we want see a new serie a specially with the new version 3.x
i’ll never ask him again because i am sure that he knows what we’re looking and quiet frankly this is turning to be embarassing to him. and i am not a gay who like to do that

      SORRY

  • http://vi-design.net victor

    i totally agree with Mike.
Jeff did a fantastic wp theming series, completely from scratch. It is a bit old, but still very relevant. As well as that, you get access to rockable press books, 2 of which cover wordpress theming in great detail.
I will be upgrading my subscription as soon I have time to sit down and go through that wp plugin course. It’s really not that expensive, especially since what you learn will pay for itself over and over again.

    get on it people!

    Hi Jeffrey,

I just started your “Creating a custom post type” video and I ran into an error trying to activate the plugin. Where do I go for help with this?

      Hey Stephanie – What error?

  • Spencer

Hi Jeff, thank you for this tutorial. It is the best out there for beginners like me. I always like your tutorials which are easy to understand and practical. Would you please create some tutorials about Drupal as well? I find many people including me want to learn that CMS as well.

  • Spencer

Hi Jeff, can you talk about how to use apply_filters which is missing from this tutorial. I find it very confusing.

  • pixelBender67

Where can I find Jeff’s to PSD to HTML to WordPress ?
A link would be much appreciated :)

At last something I can learn from.
Personally i am just starting out in WP plugins and once I get my head around a few corners, I will have questions.
Like Amrinder says, it isn’t easy, but its worth it long term.

While playing around with WordPress, and drag and drop frameworks, would love to get an understanding of putting a plugin together. Is this course going to be a little ahead of a beginner ? If so, what would be your recommendation for a road map leading up to plugin understanding ?
